offers an easy course of training to enhance your English pronunciation.
Commencing
Thursday 21st April at 7pm
This course is designed for the benefit of non-native speakers of the English language who want to improve their pronunciation skills for business or for everyday conversation. I intend to start a series of six week courses, so if these particular dates do not suit your timeschedule, please return to this website for new information.
In case my surname puzzles you, I am a native English speaker (my grand-father was Danish) with a ‘Standard Southern English’ accent (that is to say, a ‘BBC accent’) with a formal training in Speech Development from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. I work from methods made famous by Cicely Berry, J Clifford Turner and Ken Parkin for professional actors and public speakers. These methods, I have adapted to suit non-native English speakers.
The course has been arranged in six sessions on Thursday evenings starting at 7pm and lasting for about 90 minutes to 2 hours. This is enough to give students a thorough grounding in the fundamentals of English pronunciation. I am looking to set up other courses (perhaps on Tuesday or Friday evenings or at some time during the day). For a suitable fee, I am willing to give one-to-one support for those who prefer not to work in groups.
